Winners at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards!

The Cacophony Project were honoured to be awarded the Best Hi-Tech Solution for the Public Good at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards gala on Friday night. It's fantastic to be recognised for the all the hard work and innovation the project has seen so far. Many thanks to the organisations and people who continue to support us financially or in-kind, and of course our amazing community of Open Source contributors. We wouldn't be where we are today without you.

Congratualations also to the other finalists in our category - Collaborate and The University of Waikato. Getting to the finalist stage is already a significant achievement.

The Cacophony Project was also involved with the annual Techweek NZ event last week. A Techweek TV interview featuring Menno Finlay-Smits, the project's tech lead, is now available. Take a look to see what we're up to and what our upcoming plans are.
